Introduction
The Nortel Optical Metro 5130 is a compact, agile, scalable, highly available and modular three-slot high performance platform. Equipped with Dynamic Networking Modules (DNM), it can simultaneously converge, optimize and secure up to 4 Gbps of native SAN or LAN traffic per module and up to 12 Gbps per chassis across a common Layer 1, 2 or 3 (WDM, VLAN switched Ethernet and routed IP) WAN. The Optical Metro 5130 chassis and its networking modules deliver industry leading technology integration, port density and performance on a single platform.
